Fused Fitness is a local, community based studio in Onehunga, where we believe in the power of unity, support and building a strong club culture to help you ignite your full potential.

Here at Fused Fitness we offer you a variety of classes, from high intensity interval training (HIIT) to low-impact strength training and everything in between.

We pride ourselves on our high quality coaching sessions and we are passionate about helping you reach your fitness goals and motivate you every step of the way. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned athlete, our team is dedicated to supporting you throughout your journey.

Hi / Kia ora / Talofa My name is Kendyl Cherry and I am the proud owner of Fused Fitness.

Born and bred in Onehunga, I have a huge sense of pride about our amazing community. 

My journey started as an athlete representing Auckland, Samoa and recently NZ Womens Masters in Field Hockey.

Sports, Health and Fitness has always been my passion. My career path was an obvious choice for me as I have the natural ability to be part of a team, help motivate and support others. 

With over 23 years experience in the Fitness Industry, working in both NZ and the UK. I hope to bring an abundance of knowledge, and create a strong community, culture and place for you to call your home away from home.

What to expect

We know that going to a gym for the first time can be an intimidating experience so here is some advice to make it easier for you.

IT’S OK TO BE NERVOUS! Many people feel the same way starting off! 
Once you take that first step into our studio you will have NO REGRETS!

  • Turn up 15 minutes before your first class, to meet our coaches and discuss anything of importance such as, past or ongoing injuries, preference on how you would like us to approach / assist you to become a better you.
  • Each class begins with a 5 minute warm up and a 45 minute workout with the help and support of coaches and members.
  • A full demonstration on each exercise will be shown to ensure you understand how to perform the exercise correctly to get the most out of your workout.
  • In our classes majority of the time you will be working in pairs. If you prefer to workout alone or with a specific person please let our staff know, we will do our best to accommodate your personal needs.
  • Please be sure to bring a towel with you for every workout to wipe away that hard-earned sweat.
  • Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate. Ensure you properly hydrate your body before, during and after your workout, to get the best results in your workouts. It is essential to keep your fluids up.  

 

What to wear: 

  • Wear what is comfortable for you, everyone and everybody is different.
  • When it comes to shoes, it all depends on what you’re doing in the gym. 
  • Weights Days, you’ll want trainers that are mostly flat with little cushioning. This is so you can get a good sense of balance while lifting heavy weights. 
  • Cardio Days, you’ll want a more traditional running shoe with plenty of cushioning. In high-intensity workouts, you want to provide your foot with plenty of comfort and support to help you move at pace.
